The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the general direction of the Medical Director, MRI and/or the Charge MRI Technologist, the incumbent is responsible for: Performing and assisting radiologists and other physicians with high quality MRI examinations. Participating in student teaching program. Experience Minimum three years recent experience at the General Duty X-Ray Technologists level. Previous experience in special procedures preferred. Familiarity with RIMS and PACS preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate from a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology. Advanced certification preferred. Two years of post-graduate training required. Must have successfully completed the MRI course recognized by the C. A. M. R. T. Certification/Licensure/Registration Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program. Eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C. A. M. R. T. ) and the Manitoba Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (M. A. M. R. T. ) upon hire and registered with the C. A. M. R. T. and M. A. M. R. T. within three months of hire. Current certification in basic CPR required.
