POSITION CLASSIFICATION Registered Nurse ROTATION Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to the Director of Care SUMMARY OF FUNCTION The registered nurse works as a member of the health care team, coordinating the delivery of comprehensive, individualized care to the Residents of Golden Links Lodge. The Registered Nurse functions under the provisions of the Registered Nurses’ Act, CRNM Standards of Practice, CNA Code of Ethics, MB Health Standards and the Mission, Vision, Values and policies of Golden Links Lodge. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. Certificate in Gerontology an asset. Experience: Current clinical experience in Medical nursing and/or Gerontology preferred. Personal: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to function in a computerized environment (including MDS, MS Office, etc. ) Ability to work with minimal supervision. Mental/physical health to meet the demands/stresses of the position. Ability to foster a positive work environment. Ability to work as a team member. Able to meet the standard of nursing practice outlined in the CRNM Scope of Practice for Registered Nurses.
