POSITION SUMMARY While performing duties as a Main Banker the Team Member is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of main bank transactions and office activity, while conducting transactions with cashier office personnel and other departments. Supervisor Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the Cage/Club Department are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, established company policies, minimum internal controls as it pertains to the Spokane Tribe Casino and the Cage/Club department. Responsible for assisting employees and guests with transactions and for balancing various bank drawers within the cage department and maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of the balancing process. Responsible for supervision of the Player's Club duties that staff will be required to perform. Responsible to fill/drop ticket kiosks and to fix errors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) Coordinates activities of cage personnel, such as chip exchange on assigned shift to maintain integrity of cage funds. 2Verifies all funds received and disbursed to other departments and line cashiers. Processes fills and credits from table games. Ensures accurate records and documenting of all transactions affecting the cashier cage accountability on an assigned shift. Prepares daily bank deposits. Disburses and receives all departmental revenues. Functions as a Casino Cashier or Employee Banker during shift. Cash checks, cashier checks, coins, or chips for customers and Team Members. Handle large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received throughout the day, at the end of each day. Maintain accountability over a cashier drawer. Perform all duties in a confidential manner. Is knowledgeable and adheres to Title 31 Provide exceptional guest service at all times. Accurately counting and balancing of cashier bank. Maintain cashier drawer transaction records and prepare daily cash inventory form. Redemption of video gaming tickets, gaming chips and coupons. Maintain imprest bank balance through buy/sell from the vault. Cashes personal checks for currency. Redeems foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates for the various currencies received. Maintains a working knowledge of facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests of same, whenever possible. Assist in maintaining cage floor security by notifying department supervisors, security and surveillance of suspicious activity. Assists other Cashiers within the Cage, as needed. Facilitates the flow of information, by working with the Marketing Department and attending required informational meetings. Held accountable, to a very high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records, reports and Confidentiality. Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events. Must be proactive and identify problems, and solutions. Follow up with Marketing or Cage Manager. Maintain a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system. Endorse Casino promotions with all guests and prompt new guests to sign up for the players club. Assist each guest through the membership process by inputting guest data into promotional tracking system. Responsible for keeping accurate and thorough departmental records and reports. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of all casino programs, promotions and all elements of casino games. Responsible for maintaining a positive and productive attitude at all times with guests and fellow team members. Promote all marketing events, in house promotions and other announcements as needed over the microphone system as needed. Will assist Cage Manager and Marketing Manager with special projects as needed. Maintain a clean and clear workstation. Responsible for filling, dropping and maintaining ticket kiosks. Responsible for stocking promotional items; such as bungee cords, club cards and other items for promotional use. Inform Manager when items run low. Supervisor Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal. Must learn and ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls. Must adhere to our guest service standards by providing excellent guest service. Monitor employees within the Cage / Club department to ensure guest service standards are being executed. The Supervisor is responsible for all transactions and documentation that flow through the Vault, including, but not limited to Table Games fills and credits, the receipt and distribution of the ATM and ticket redemption kiosk funds, gift certificates, gift cards, revenue banks and buy/Sells from the cashier's cage. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests and follow up appropriately. Accurately balances assigned banks on scheduled shift. Assists various departments in counting gratuities. Redeems foreign currency, computing accurate exchange rates and assure that it is posted daily. Accesses funds and ensures prompt distribution to appropriate areas of property. Assists Managers with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Prepares staff performance evaluations. Coaches, counsels and disciplines employees, as needed. Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced by Employees under his/her span of control. Ensures that all ATM machines and CEK machines on site are maintained and functional at all times, this includes fills. Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings. Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records, reports, and confidentiality. Must be able to work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events. Must be proactive and identify problems, solutions, and employee issues. Follow up with the Cage/Club Manager and the Director of Finance/Assistant General Manager. Hire, train, supervise and develop all team members in the Players Club. This includes regular, consistent and candid feedback to all team members. Responsible for ensuring and maintaining proper procedures are trained and adhered to with regard to all Cage and Players Club duties. This includes encouraging e-mail and phone number collection, ensuring data entry guidelines are followed, auditing all voids that are processed as well as auditing comp issuance percentages. Execute all approved giveaways and promotions. Ensure that all team members are trained and scheduled appropriately. Ensure that all rules of the promotion are followed as approved. Build and sustain professional relationships with all departments. Assist in the maintenance of promotional tracking system and database. Extensive computer work including but not limited to, Player Tracking, Word and Excel. Maintain a working knowledge of our database system to perform duties with the promotional tracking system. Research, order and monitor stock of supplies for the Players Club. Open and track status of all on-going projects to ensure that all deadlines are met and materials are delivered on time. Maintain a working knowledge of the facilities amenities as well as current and upcoming special events/promotions in order to advise guests and other team members. It is the responsibility of the Cage/Club Supervisor to ensure that the Cage/Club staff have the information (hold team meetings and request information from Marketing) and tools needed to effectively perform their position. Assist staff with carrying out promotions and special events. Knowledgeable of all casino events and promotions for communication to our guests. Act as guest service liaison to ensure our guests expectations are exceeded. Ensure effective communication in the Player Development Department in order to maintain a constant flow of information. Other duties as assigned. JOB QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Some college courses in management, Banking and/or Finance or related area preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Minimum of 6 months experience in casino cage operations required. Must not have any of the following on file (this applies to current staff): No complaints for poor guest service or for serious misconduct. No suspensions on file for dependability issues. Excellent Customer Service skills. Ability to lead and motivate employees. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. Must have basic computer knowledge for data entry. Excellent administrative skills. Effective communications skills required. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate. Excellent customer service skills are required, must have experience working with the public. Ability to work independently and use good judgment. Must be able to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment.
