Lead Mechanic

We are missing one team member to assist our Fleet & Facilities Manager with vehicle maintenance, small engine repair, electric motor repair, and facility maintenance. Familiarity with big trucks a PLUS.Key Responsibilities: Inspect vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose problems Perform repairs and replace defective parts on vehicles and machinery Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations Test vehicles and machinery to ensure they are running smoothly Perform maintenance and repairs on small equipment including mini excavators, skid steers, and pressure washers Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed Communicate with customers to explain necessary repairs and costs Maintain a clean and organized work environment Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair or a related field Certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a mechanic Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and diagnostic tools and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
