Veterinary Emergency Referral Center is currently hiring for a Senior Veterinary Tech - Vet Technician (PRN) to fill in for staff as needed at our animal hospital in the Norman, OK area. This animal care position is as-needed and earns a c ompetitive wage of $19 - $24/hr . DAY-TO-DAY As a Senior Veterinary Tech - Vet Technician (PRN), you're ready to step in when needed, lending a hand when our patients need you most. When other staff members have time off, they feel reassured knowing that our patients are in your capable hands. With years of animal care experience, you confidently provide expert nursing care. Following the veterinarian's orders, you administer medications, place IV catheters, and perform venous blood draws. You know how to calm anxious pets, handling them with a firm but gentle touch. You're pleased to work in an animal hospital that has an in-house lab and invests in state-of-the-art equipment. Efficient and skilled, you assist with ultrasonography, surgical prep, and anesthetic inductions. As a flexible team player, you help wherever you're needed: running outpatient ER cases, filling prescriptions, and educating clients.
