Position Summary The Head of Branch network leads and directs all retail branch functions. Develops branch delivery channels, performance objectives, sales goals, customer service standards and monitors results. Responsible for branch administration, operations, branch staff development and establishing policies and procedures that drive efficient operations and regulatory compliance. Leads and guides product development and implementation to provide profitable and competitive service offerings. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the retail branch network to support the bank's long term business objectives. Areas of responsibility include leadership of retail administration, retail training and retail branch network. Essential Functions 10-15 years industry experience and professional leadership experience in retail operations/administration setting. Reports directly to the CEO of the bank and will take part in executive level discussions. Ability to motivate people and communicate effectively through excellent interpersonal skills; strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Assist and support retail banking staff in handling customers' requests and needs. Active participation and oversight of sales efforts of Unity Bank to enhance the relationship with its clients through comprehensive financial planning, educational support and sound investing. Maintain up-to-date familiarity with top consumer and commercial client portfolios to ensure consistency with client goals and identify opportunities for additional business. Additional Functions Implement creative activities that will both educate and motivate the team members, enhancing the working environment of all staff members. Actively coach all members of the team in the most current and successful sales activities and tactics while keeping them abreast of all current market and industry changes. Create an environment of active coaching to ensure that the needs of all customers are being uncovered and addressed by all personnel. Active participation in the efforts of Unity Bank to enhance the relationship with its clients through comprehensive financial planning, educational support and sound investing. Manage the bank's Partner Programs i.e., Merchant Services, Credit Cards, Checkbook Supplies Ensure the level of customer service provided mirrors the banks of Five Star Service which includes but not limited to; prompt return of email, text messages and phone calls. Remain up to date on all industry market conditions, product and service trends, tax law changes and other relevant issues. Secure Unity's place as a premier provider of quality service as well as a strong business leader through but not limited to involvement in, social groups, networking groups and community events. To achieve or surpass the goals that are set by executive management thus ensuring the growth of Unity Bank as a whole. Education and Experience Minimum 4-year College degree REQUIRED Minimum of 10-15 years previous experience in the financial services field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer literate with the ability to utilize all programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, Word, Internet and specific bank and investment related software. Able to multitask while prioritizing responsibilities and tasks. Able to communicate clearly, orally and written. Highly organized, reliable, and effective with management of time. Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical abilities. Capable of making decisions and sound judgment as it relates to all client, employee, and bank matters. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for long periods of time up to 75% of work hours. Ability to use hands to grasp, handle or feel. Ability to use computer keyboard and system to enter data and process information. Ability to read a computer screen at a close distance. Ability to talk, hear, and see. Ability to use telephone to communicate with others. Ability to use office equipment such as teller scanner, personal computer, telephone, mobile device, copier, etc. Good typing skills Ability to operate copier, fax machine, printer, adding machine. Ability to travel to all branches and requested locations for client appointments, meetings, and seminars. Working Conditions Moderate sound as in business office with office machines, computers, and people traffic.
