Reports to: Digital Communications Manager Term: Regular, Full-Time. Occasional evenings and weekends required. Position Status: Exempt Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000/annually, commensurate with experience Requirements: Must have proof of COVID-19 Vaccination/Boosters. Location: Anaheim, CA. Staff are currently working a hybrid schedule, with three days in-person and two days remote. Requires some travel throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area (vehicle and driver's license required). ABOUT THE ROLE: We're looking for a passionate and creative storyteller to join our communications team! Our ideal candidate is a mix between Steven Spielberg and Paul Rand: a videography wiz and a graphic design pro. This role involves sharing the stories of CAIR-LA's work and its clients through: (1) Conceptualizing, filming, and editing promotional videos, Tik-Toks, and Reels (2) Designing digital and print collateral and (3) Establishing strong relationships with influencers and local businesses/partner organizations to help expand our reach. If you're an out-of-the-box thinker looking for a creative outlet, this may just be the position for you. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Videography: Responsible for handling all video projects from start to finish: Plan and execute video schedule for Ramadan and EOY marketing; Prepare storyboard and scripts; Schedule filming with appropriate staff, clients, and community partners; Operate video, audio, and lighting equipment on location or in the office; Edit the footage to create a final product. Graphic Design: Collaborate with the Digital Communications Manager to design print and digital collateral: Design graphics for all mediums: website, social media, web ads, e-newsletters, posters/banners, print flyers, letters/envelopes, pamphlets, program booklets, etc.; Come up with creative and new ways to promote CAIR's work on all platforms; Plan and execute design concept for Ramadan and EOY marketing; Meet with various departments to discuss their design needs; Create logos and branding for new initiatives; Stay up to date on design trends. Recruit and partner with influencers and businesses/sponsors. Manage CAIR-LA's story bank of client stories and case victories. Handle other miscellaneous, job-related tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or technical training in graphic design or a related field. Minimum three years' experience in visual media. Ability to work with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) as well as Canva. Photography and photo editing skills are strongly preferred. Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. Familiarity with the Muslim/AMEMSA community is preferred. Professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, communicate clearly, and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, be flexible, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
