Position Summary: Scientific Drilling is looking for a CDL Truck Driver to work at our Yukon, Oklahoma Facility. Scientific Drilling is an independent directional drilling and wellbore navigation, surveying and logging Service Company serving customers worldwide. Our industry leading navigation systems provide definitive wellbore placement information, enabling safer and more efficient placement of tightly spaced wellbores throughout the world. We are motivated by crafting innovative and elegant solutions to technically challenging problems. Duties and Responsibilities: · Deliver SDI equipment to specified locations. Main routes will be between Yukon, OK and the Rockies, with occasional runs between Yukon, OK and Houston, TX. · Pick up goods and materials. · Help load goods and materials. · Forklift 0perations. · Verify load for accuracy. · Comply with all SDI and DOT safe work practices. · Complete and verify paperwork accuracy. · Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. · Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues and preform preventative maintenance as needed. · Secure cargo and properly arranging and balancing within the vehicle. · Interact with customers in a professional manner. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Previous work experience in oil field a plus. · CDL License · Must have clean driving record with no prior DUI's · Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. · Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. · Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) · Proven work experience as a CDL Driver. · Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment references. Education, Experience, Certification and Training · High School Diploma or equivalent. · Trucking School Diploma or equivalent. · Experienced in using mechanical tools and equipment a plus. · Experienced in reading maps. · Capable to identify and solve problems. · Able to communicate effectively with managers and peers, both written and verbally. · Basic knowledge in MS Office Software (Excel, Word). · Working knowledge of SAP a plus. Work Environment , Physical Job Requirements and PPE · Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs, identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry under 50 lbs., perceive depth and operate a motor vehicle. · Conditions may include working inside and/or outside. May work around machines with moving parts and moving objects. Working near radiant and electrical energy. Working closely with others or working alone. Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation. · Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computers and related equipment, calculators, copiers, fax machines, telephone and vehicles. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
