PROGRAM MANAGER Agricultural Education DivisionProvide statewide leadership for the administration of Agricultural Education programs throughout the state. Provide leadership in identifying and solving problems.Requires a bachelor's degree - preference Agriculture Education. Master's degree preferred. Three years supervision, coordination or teaching required. Minimum requirements also include leadership experience, familiarity with school law. Related teaching certificate preferred. Knowledge of the CareerTech system helpful.Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints; ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style; ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors; ability to communicate extremely technical and complex concepts to top management and the board of directors. Ability to influence key stakeholders and general public, motivate and manage employees and provide staff development, including coaching and team-building skills.Position based in Stillwater, OK. Some travel in-state and out of state, and valid driver's license required. Duties/Essential Functions: Plan, develop, implement and provide continuous improvement for high-quality Agricultural Education programs. Provide quality customer service to all clients. Provide technical assistance and support to instructors. Plan, develop and coordinate professional development opportunities for teachers and staff. Prepare and monitor the Agriculture Education budget, Career Tech Student Organization budget, and FFA Foundation budget. Perform strategic planning and utilize innovative thinking to improve quality program operations. Provide consistently clear communication to the field, teachers, and administrators, regarding all aspects of the Agricultural Education program. Serve as an advisor to FFA; serve as an advisor to OAETA; serve as member of the FFA Foundation Board of Directors. Provide improved and updated curriculum and teaching methods; build partnerships with business and industry. Represent the agency on state and national committees and professional organizations. Build productive relationships with major corporations, individual gift donors, and corporate executives to successfully meet fundraising goals as set by the FFA Foundation. Salary/Benefits: $61,375 - $69,861 commensurate with education or experience.
