Upper School Library Media Specialist Employment Status: Full Time, 10 Month Reports to: Upper School Principal Start Date: August 2023 Job Summary : Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy is seeking a Library Media Specialist within our Upper School Campus to oversee our 21st Century library and provide technological support to students and faculty. Job Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation, services, and facility use for a 21st-century school library media program Partner with our technology provider, MIS Solutions, to help students best utilize the technology available to them Serve as the school resource for 5-Star Students, training new students and staff on the system, assisting with any issues arising related to the system, overseeing any uses of the system, and communicating with 5-Star Students support as needed Assist students with basic technological issues, including, but not limited to, those involving Canvas, Office 360, Excel, printing, and PowerPoint Instruct teachers, administrators, and other staff in the use of new information technologies Recommend and procure resources for staff for use in meeting their instructional objectives Implement a results-oriented information and technology literacy skills curriculum integrated with subject-area curriculum through partnerships with teachers. Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Library Sciences or Four-Year Degree in another area with experience overseeing a 21st Century library Committed Christian comfortable working in a Christian community Proven technological skills including a willingness and ease in learning new technical programs and systems Strong problem-solving skills Ability to administer an integrated school library media program Spirit of collaboration with high school students, teachers, and staff CHCA is an equal opportunity employer.
