JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for a variety of tasks within the manufacturing environment. Essential Functions include: Responsible for adherence to all company policies, including, but not limited to and the use of personal protective equipment, other health, safety and environmental procedures. Helps maintain a clean and safe working environment. Performs general housekeeping within production facilities. Performs tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, organizing, etc. as needed. Assists operators in production when necessary. Reports all problems that may inhibit the production of a quality product to the immediate foreman and/or supervisor. Operate a lift truck, power, or air tool to accomplish designated tasks. Regular and predictable attendance is essential to this position. Supervisor Responsibilities This position has no direct reports. Overall Responsibilities Duties are labor intensive and repetitive. Applies and develops basic skills in procedures appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. Works under direct supervision and from detailed verbal and/or written instructions. Knowledge, Education and Experience A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience is required. At least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. General knowledge of the production process is valuable. Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population. Mental and Physical Requirements Must be reliable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, identify problem areas, and take corrective action within a timely manner. Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under high pressure situations. This position performs in a warehouse and factory environment. It is subject to hot and cold temperatures; wet and or humid conditions; loud noises; moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. This position may require working outside of normal business hours. Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast paced, high productive work environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Ability to differentiate colors and shades of colors.
