Intern, Underwriting Operations

Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting in our Underwriting department. The intern works closely with our team to learn how to analyze and prices workers' compensation exposures on new and existing business at the direction and under the supervision of a more experienced underwriter or underwriting supervisor. Term: Summer 2024, approximately 10 weeks, flexible schedule but must be able to work up to 25 hours per week.What You'll Do: Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service. May engage with customers or clients and provide service and/or sales. Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes. Learn and become proficient on internal software systems. Final project or presentation may be required. Education and Experience: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in related field such as Accounting, Finance, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics. Junior or senior level preferred. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. General working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, ability to use Microsoft Word, & basic Microsoft Excel skills Past experience in a professional setting preferred PDN-9b726238-83e0-458f-bed7-aa923838f8b6
