Role & Responsibilities: The Stage Sound Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful preparation and execution for all stage productions and programs on the The Susan G. Komen 3-Day (the3day.org) event series. This person is managed by the Stage Production Director and works closely with the Stage Production Manager, Event Director and the Susan G. Komen staff. This coordinator’s main responsibility is to operate the Q-Lab program for all productions and programs. With Q-Lab, they will build & operate the production and program’s music sets for the event. They will also work with the Stage Production Manager to set-up and breakdown the 3-Day event collateral that is positioned at the stage area. Lastly, they will work closely with the Sound & AV vendor to ensure that all stage equipment set-up and breakdown deadlines are met. Strong communication skills with all staff members are crucial for this role. This coordinator will be responsible for the following event productions & programs: Opening Ceremony Rehearsal Thursday afternoon rehearsal with staff, participants & client Opening Ceremony Early Friday morning production. (Call time: 5am for a 7am ceremony start) which consists of: Morning participant stretch 3-Day hosts to facilitate opening ceremony script Production includes speaking, music and A/V cues 30-minute program, concluding with walkers heading out on to the route for Day 1 Friday Dining Room Programing Friday afternoon/evening programming Welcome last walker into camp Celebration of Champions Participant fundraising awards programming Production includes speaking, music and A/V cues (6am start time) 30-minute program Saturday Dining Room Programing Saturday morning breakfast Saturday afternoon/evening programs Welcome last walker into camp Honor Ceremony Ceremony honoring 3-Day participants who have passed away from Breast Cancer Production includes speaking, music and A/V cues (6am start time) 30-minute program Closing Ceremony Sunday morning breakfast Sunday afternoon production (4:00pm start time) which consists of: 3-Day hosts to facilitate closing ceremony script Walk-in procession of crew members and Survivors Production includes speaking, music and A/V cues 30-minute program, which concludes the 3-Day event Work Locations & Dates: New England (Boston) 3-Day Start Work Date: 8/19/24 End Work Date: 8/26/24 8 Workdays Denver 3-Day Start Date: 9/25/24 End Date: 9/30/24 6 Workdays Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day Start Date: 10/30/24 End Date: 11/4/24 6 Workdays San Diego 3-Day Start Date: 11/13/24 End Date: 11/18/24 6 Workdays Job Requirements: 2-3 years of Q-Lab program/stage production experience Professional demeanor & able to handle stress throughout the event Ability to stay ahead of unforeseen obstacles and challenges that arise during the production timeline Work with the Stage Production Manager to oversee the sound/AV vendor throughout their set-up, execution and breakdown of their equipment Able to work early morning hours Personable, friendly & customer service oriented with participants and all who are present at the event Other duties as assigned Salary: $6,500 for 4 events (26 days of work at $250 day) Negotiable Paid Travel Includes: Ground transport costs to and from your home airport Round trip flight for each event city Hotel room (single occupancy) for each day of work $55 a day for per diem/food allowance Powered by JazzHR
