Description:
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks to support the finance department. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, preparing payments, and reconciling vendor statements. Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and files. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed. Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Assist with the maintenance of fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, scanning, and copying documents. Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) preferred. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
