This role is instrumental in being able to help us turnover rooms for cases. You will support patient care by providing a clean and safe environment in the Operating Rooms. Assists in daily activities of surgical services including, but not limited to the operating room, special procedure rooms, PACU, and day surgery. Duties include housekeeping, instrument processing, inventory and stocking duties, and cleaning and maintenance of Operating Room equipment. Additionally, assists patients, family members and/or visitors with movement from inpatient floors and throughout surgical services.Requires the level of technical knowledge normally acquired through completion of high school.CPR certification obtained within 6 months of hire - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.Requires analytical skills in order to identify problems, troubleshoot and find the most efficient solutions to problems.Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care teamAbility to prioritize duties regarding patient transport, operating suite needs, and room turnoverHours: 11:50am-8:20pmThis position will also participate in holiday call requirements.Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
