Providing career growth to our own employees is critical to our ongoing success::take charge of your career goals and empower your future :Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements are met while on watch.:Verify effective operation of the plant including Balance of Plant equipment as needed based on defined procedures.:Respond to abnormal conditions in accordance with established processes and Standard Operating Procedures.:Communicate effectively with plant operators, shift supervisors, and managers as required.:Communicate with dispatch and transmission operator when required.:Complete all required training and qualifications including Safety, Environmental, Regulatory, Plant Simulator, and BOP training.:Remain alert and ready to respond during routine and abnormal situations.:Available to work 12:hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Some coverage will be required to fill scheduled and unscheduled time off.:Completion of extensive in:house training program to become Control Room Operator qualified.:Advanced computer skills are required, including DCS (Ovation) and MS Office Suite with the ability to collect and evaluate data. Minimum Requirements :High School degree or equivalent education:Basic computer knowledge and three to seven years of operating and/or maintenance experience preferably as a power plant operator or Control Room Operator or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
