Here are the job details:Job Overview:Join a busy bankruptcy practice involving litigation and transactional work.Engage in courtroom appearances, depositions, motions, and contested matters.Receive training opportunities with increasing levels of responsibility.Collaborate across practice groups and offices.Work in a small office environment with the resources of an Am Law 200 firm.Opportunities for advancement in a collegial setting.Engage in business development activities with potential for partnership.Remote work is permitted two days per week.Duties:Litigate bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights matters in state and federal courts.Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions.Handle motions practice, contested matters, and adversary proceedings.Conduct or assist in preparing depositions.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.Collaborate effectively within a team environment.Engage in business development activities.Requirements:3-6 years of experience in bankruptcy litigation.Strong understanding of bankruptcy law and procedures.Proven experience in motion practice and contested matters.Quick thinking and adept at performing under pressure.Experience with depositions.Excellent research and writing skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and backgrounds.Highly motivated and self-starting.Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment.Excellent communication skills.Outstanding law school credentials and references.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Indiana Bar (or eligibility for admission).Skills:Litigation skills.Bankruptcy law knowledge.Legal research and writing.Team collaboration.Business development.Cultural competency.Motivation and adaptability.Communication proficiency.Benefits:Competitive salaries.Quality benefits programs.Workplace flexibility.One-on-one career coaching.Professional development opportunities and support. New associates are assigned to one of five sections: Bond/Municipal Finance, Business, Labor, Litigation, or Real Estate. New associates are encouraged to let the firm know what areas interest them, but all attorneys are expected to be willing to work in a wide variety of areas. New associates are also provided with early client contact. While some associates arent ecstatic with the firms bonus structure, this mid-tier firm does pay higher than many similar firms in the area.
